2015 Cycling

Red Lion, Gilmorton

Cold and tried to snow but only managed to drizzle on us. Four riders started from Cosby and four from Lutterworth. Our route then took us through Swinford where we donned waterproofs, past Stanford Hall, South and North Kilworth, Walton kum Kimcote to the Red Lion at Gilmorton.

Avoiding the A426 we returned to Lutterworth as directly as possible for tea and cake at the Leisure Centre.

Blue Bell, Hoby

Only a few photos today because Mush took a bad tumble and was carted off to hospital. His helmet did sterling service so Dave and Mick were able to assist his escape later that evening.

Here are Mush's photos

Today was a Catch-wait Cycling bout - Two bananas, two punctures and a knockout.

Bradgate Arms, Cropston

Ten Embers made their separate ways to TS Tiger. From there we rode up Mowmacre Hill to Rothley, then onto Mountsorrel Farm Park for coffee and a chance to dry off.

Still in pouring rain on to the Bradgate Arms in Cropston for lunch.

After lunch, and with it still wet, Mush headed home and the rest of us headed back to TS Tiger via Thurcaston Road and down Mowmacre Hill.

At TS Tiger Richard served tea, coffee and cakes. Afterwards we all headed home in thankfully dry weather.

The Bell, Gumley

Change to Friday this week to get the best weather. Bob could not join us but cycled out on his new bike to see us off.

Warwick Pople joined us at The Well in Kibworth and left Carole at home to be coddy for the decorator.

Now see where we went in March.
