Founders Day

21 July 2019 - Vintage MCC Taverners Section

Another top-notch show from the Taverners' section of the VMCC brought all the old bikers out of the metalwork. Not everything there was old though. Even the venerable Wall of Death Indian had a younger stable-mate. This year's theme was Royal Enfields and they too had something new to show.

This year the Leicester Phoenix MCC put on a display of their classic motorcycles. Their stand gave them the chance to chat to lots of like minded enthusiasts. Maybe they need a fierce dog to keep all the past members from crowding their site.

Thanks to the many visitors who filled in our survey of your youthful fashions. Results are on our Rear Observation page.

We all find a favourite bike at Founders Day. This year it was probably this Vinton and Steib that won our vote.

As usual the bike park holds as much interesting machinery as the formal displays. Starting with Mush's Triton and Dave's Norton.

This year Ben indulged a new fetish for the back end of motorcycles and especially the variations on panniers.
