Well almost a filtering free journey awaited me on the way to the 33rd Barrel Bikers GPO rally held at a new site near Newport Pagnell.
The site was large and had flat level camping with no difficulty in getting the pegs in.
The usual camp fire was already burning as I made my way to the food tent.
Then into the marquee for the first pint of cider.
There were also about six real ales from the Pot Belly Brewery for £2.50!
The first band were Grounded and I ended up doing some singing into the mic.
By now some friends from Kent had turned up and Phil the Spill was in attendance.
The second band were Emperor and then Glamtastic finished the night.
The next day the silly games were held and some new ones were in evidence.
Then the bands started again with Bite Me and then all the way from Dundee Illicit Still who were the best band of the weekend. They seemed elated at the way in which the audience took to them. And then Wordsworth finished off the night.
This is still one of my favorite rallies of the year and this was my 8th one in a row. Mind you Phil the Spill has done 32!
