Runs 2011

Tuesday 11 October

Four old pals met at Crich Tramway Village for an overdose of nostalgia. Dave Parry and Ian Bower gave the poor weather the contempt it deserved and made the trip on motorcycles.

We paid senior citizen rate when travelling on the trams - Ian paid half fare 'cos he's just a lad. Luckily the tram had a roof so we stayed dry. As well as the track and grounds there are indoor displays, workshops and sheds full of trams from across the world.

Ben has a fetish for big birds and this one had a special place in his heart. It is from the top of the Brush works in Loughborough where he served his apprenticeship in the 60s.

We took lunch in Rita's Tearooms. It was a struggle to get everyone past the Red Lion pub which was like a fly trap for old club member barflies. Roll your mousewheel to inspect the details.

We are keeping our admission tickets for free re-entry next season. At the end of May there will be a classic motorbike day.
