Red Lion, Market Bosworth

Not a very bright day but eleven Embers still survived the ride and enjoyed lunch in company with Jan and John Muschialli. Our lunch break was at the Red Lion in Market Bosworth.

After lunch we made our way directly to Sutton Wharf for cake and coffee while the rain came down.

Belvoir Alehouse, Old Dalby

Ten riders out on a bright autumn morning. Four keen types cycled in from Syston just to warm up.

We took our lunch break at Belvoir Alehouse where we were joined by Ian Goodson to retell tales of yor. We then surmounted some hefty hills on the way back to Melton for coffee and cake.

The day was not so bright on the way back and we left our four Energetic Embers to race home before nightfall.

The Elms, Lutterworth

Eight Embers cycled to Swinford and Sanford Hall to pick up the rain, then took a short cut back to The Elms at Lutterworth to compensate for the soaking with a carvery lunch.

Ian Bower and Dave Parry are always sure to warm up properly before a serious cycle ride.

The it was a short ride back into town for coffee and cake at PJ's in Church Street. A short ride but the food (and company) made up for it.

Black Horse, Grimston

A really good turnout of Embers today; twelve riders tackling the hills with gusto. Or were we just in a hurry to get to the pub?

Mush and Richard Clark retraced a familiar route to get to The Black Horse at Grimston.

This was a day of helicopter spotting with a couple of flying Philishaves in the morning and what looked like the air ambulance near to Hoby on the way home.
