Railway Inn, Glenfield
Embers start 2025 with Coffee at Asda Abbey Lane before cycling to Glenfield. Lunch at the Railway Inn on a very cold and icy day.
From Glenfield, the Embers divided to take different directions home. For Peter and Ricardo, this was a happy return to the fold.
This week many Embers cycled miles between them.

Red Lion, Huncote
Freezing weather following floods made cycling risky this week. Discretion being the better part of valour, Embers cycled locally on the best days or walked from the designated start location.
Mick Ayriss and Ian Bower ventured out on bicycles on Tuesday
Embers left bikes at home because of ice and floods. Five of us walked up Croft Hill on a rather cold day. Then to the Red Lion for lunch.

A Trig Point is visible WNW from here, at the summit of Croft Hill.
This week many Embers cycled, walked, canoed or skated miles on different days.
Shires Inn, Peatling Parva
Five Embers chose to cycle locally on Tuesday with an earlier start and finish.
By Thursday the cold weather returned and the morning was foggy. Seven Embers who braved the conditions were rewarded by a good lunch at the Shires Inn, Peatling Parva, and a sunny afternoon ride back.
To be continued, but on Tueday and Thursday many Embers have cycled more than miles.
