Longshoot, Hinckley
Frost, mist, cold and a pair of legs that wished they belonged to someone else were all part of today's ride.
Triumph Factory was a welcome stopping off point.
We went over the border into Warwickshire, but fortunately no border guards or wall to stop us getting back into Leicestershire. I am sure there will now be a petition to get one built.
Nice to see one of our fellow Embers (Simon) join us for lunch at the Longshoot on his slow recovery to cycling fitness.
A good turnout with many Embers cycling miles.

The Bell, Gumley
Dismal day but dry, above freezing and not too windy. Mustn't grumble. Five riders kept their miles down, avoided most of the hills and took it easy to Bridge 61 Foxton Locks for coffee, then onto The Bell at Gumley; that's where the hills were!
Short route back to Great Bowden and another refreshment break at Bowden Stores before we parted ways.
Mick and Ian also cycled earlier in the week, so many Embers cycled miles that qualify.

White Horse, Broughton Astley
Ten Embers out today to enjoy a windy, dry day and the signs of spring's approach. Congratulations to Mush on his birthday and for our drinks at lunch. Mush leader of our over 80 club which seems to be expanding rather quickly.
Today's run of local villages round Cosby with two coffee breaks and lunch in the White Horse, Broughton Astley.
This week many Embers cycled miles between them.

Stilton Cheese Inn, Somerby
Seven Embers met up at Houghton on the Hill. Cycled to Buttercups Tearoom for a coffee, then on through Tilton on the Hill to the Stilton Cheese Inn in Somerby for lunch.
Then I cycled back to Syston through Ashby Folville. The rest made their way back to Houghton on the Hill.
- Grahame Billington
The main group of Embers cycled from Houghton on the Hill but my legs were not keen on that, therefore joined two fellow Embers (Richard and Dave) cycling somewhere less hilly. Enjoyed the Snowdrops and Crocus in Abbey Park before coffee at Birstall (Great cafe) and onwards to Thurcaston for lunch. Had the joy of cycling down Mowmacre Hill on the way home.
