National Rally
The control is in the car park of Moto (M&S Costa) Services near junction 23a of the M1. It opens 12.00 midday Saturday. It is NOT a final control and therefore closes at 4.48am on Sunday.
Control is signed "Donington Services" and can be reached from several routes:
- From the A42 or M1 northbound leave at junction 23a, M1 southbound leave at junction 24.
- South of Kegworth the A6 now follows a brand new bypass that runs west to join the A453. Or you can still travel from Kegworth village centre on High Street/Ashby Road at the Flying Horse and join the new bypass to the A453. Turn left (south) and the services are the second exit at the next roundabout.
- On the A453 eastbound from Donington Park and EM Airport go almost all the way round the roundabout at the A42.
Parking is free for up to 2 hours. Over that time there is a charge of £10 payable at the restaurant.*
Services are open 24hours but some of the shops (including M&S) are closed from 10pm to 7am. There is a cash machine, Wi-Fi and Internet access.
There is a Harvester restaurant on the services. It is open for breakfast from 7am to noon and for other meals until 10pm.
There is a Travelodge within the services.

On The Day
Kegworth Control operates four watches beginning at 11.30am to set up stall ready for the riders who begin their rally from Kegworth. Watches last for five hours.
Lark Watch | 11.30 am setup 12.00 midday open 4.30 pm
Crow Watch | 4.00 pm 9.00 pm
Owl Watch | 8.30 pm 1.30 am
Bat Watch | 1.00 am 4.48 am close 5.00 am cleared
Hawk Watch | Emergency Cover |
Times include an overlap for a smooth handover from the previous Watch. There are enough marshals on each Watch to provide cover for breaks.
Parking Instructions
Marshals are to sign in and enter their registration details in the WHSmith store on arrival at the Services. Registration needs to be completed for each vehicle staying longer than 2 hours.
Important: If any driver forgets, or enters the details incorrectly then any parking charge notice will stand.
If you want to stay out all night but find it difficult to think up your own excuses why not volunteer? You don't need to come on a motorcycle. There is a lot of information on LPMCC.net including Operating Instructions.
