Editorial Spring 1976
Welcome to the latest edition of the most outspoken magazine since the original 'Bike Mag'. If you are not struck blind by the contents then drop me a line saying how much you enjoyed/hated certain articles. Better still write a piece yourself for the others to criticise and with a bit of luck another issue will blossom in June.
Donington Park is again the venue for the B.M.F. Rally on 2nd May and this year the Leicester Phoenix Motorcycle Club will have a stand for members to meet and deposit their helmets. Besides a display of photographs depicting the atmosphere of our club there will be a very unusual Norton on show: One that ran for 24 hours non stop.
So come along to Donington and support your club, a tug of war team is needed and assistants are required for hourly stints on the stand. It is also about time a Leicester girl won the Miss B.M.F. again so remember to bring the girlfriend.
Another date for your diary is April 11th when a treasure hunt has been arranged by Dave and Steve. I rode round the route with Steve last Saturday to help him finalise it and I can assure you of a really good day out, especially if you like twisting country lanes, hump back bridges and fords etc (who doesn't).
Looking forward to June and a dinner and social is being planned. A night out away from bikes for a short while where members can get together with their wives or girlfriends and have a really good time with no worry about riding home because a coach will be laid on. Oh! and the pub serves Ruddles County ale for those who know what real beer tastes like.
