MaLu was a member of the club in the mid 70s when she visited us from São Paulo. Although her visit to Blighty was brief she made many friends at the Leicester Phoenix MCC and regularly sent news about motorcycling in Brazil, some included in Megaphone.

MaLu met and married Antonio, a fellow motorcyclist, in São Paulo and became Mrs Silveira. Their children are now all grown up, Camila, Catarina and Andre.

We lost contact over the years and the da Silveiras moved to Florida USA. By the marvels of the internet, Google and Camila's scholarship recorded on the Miami German Club website MaLu is now back in enthusiastic contact.

MaLu currently works at a catering company and keeps fit by dancing. She supports the past members virtual club nights with frequent topical contributions to the Foz Spot.
