Bum in the Mud Rally

Mersea Island in Essex.

The site is right on the sea and is ideal for rallies. The event is organised by two people but I should mention the tremendous input from many volunteers including first aiders.

There is an excellent cafe on site which serves breakfasts and evening meals at very good prices.

There are two stages which both have live bands and discos.

After Friday's cider sampling I went to West Mersea on Saturday to sample the local oysters and then back to the site for more beer and bands.

This is a very good rally and its reputation as the first big season opener is well deserved.
