Captain Cook Rally

While the exact date of this particular Captain Cook meeting remains uncertain, the photographs below are thought to have been taken in Glaisdale, circa 1989, according to their owner, rally rider Graeme Kell.

Together, these images preserve a small yet vivid fragment of that gathering, telling the story of a moment worth remembering.

Collected here and there from the Internet and brought together for presentation on this page, the photographs below were all taken during Captain Cook gatherings. Unfortunately, the dates of these events remain unknown, as they were not recorded.

The late Jim Peck (wearing a green BSA OC pullover), who appears in these photos, can no longer provide any details. However, perhaps John Hampton (wearing a headband), pictured alongside him, might be able to shed some light—if by chance he comes across this page. And who can tell us the exact name of the pub, of which only a small portion of the sign is visible on the façade? Is it named after a past King William —
