Hex Rally

2013 (I missed this one last year due to having the lurgey, so I was keen to do it again.)

This is organised by Caldarium MCC just outside Oxford and a very good job they do to. The tickets always sell out and it is not hard to see why.

After setting up on the immaculate site it was to the bar I headed to drink the scrumpy they had on offer and the selection of real ales they also have at very good prices.

The bands that night were Greenwood Park and the amazing Jalapenos who played a really good set. A lot of dancing was done and I met quite a few friends.

Saturday the weather was rather patchy so I decided to stay on site. The silly games were very good with quite a few that I had not seen before, some involving eggs to such an extent that one member from the club that won the drinking hip flask was renamed Eggy.

The bands that night were Legless and the Laurence Jones (who was an amazing very confident guitarist) band with a set in the afternoon from Paul Martin who joined Loveless on stage.

The rally does the best line in merchandise and there is a halloween theme to the event which means that there are some really good fancy dress costumes on the Saturday night.

It was good to see so many clubs and some younger people there.

This rally is a season ender for most people and I do not know of a better one to end the year on.
